COLONIAL BANK LIQUIDATION.

ANOTHER OFFER FOR THE WARD FARMERS BUSINESS. Dunedin, to-day. An unexpected development has taken place in the Colonial Bank Liquidation case. An application will be made on Tuesday by William Brown, accountant contributory to the Colonial Bank, to peruse at the office of the liquidators, the books and documents in their possession relating to the prospective purchase by Messrs Smith and Reid of certain debts and securities of the bank, on the ground that the said William Brown is prepared to make an offer for the said debts and securities, and that such inspection is necessary before the Court can determine the propriety of granting its sanction to any purchase.
