[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Last Night. [Two seamen of the barque Kenyon, which arrived yesterday from . Liverpool, were charged with having Customed tobacco in their possesaion. They pleaded guilty and each was fined £100, the fines being afterwards mitigated to £25. In default of payment accused were ordered to be imprisoned till they paid the fines As the amount was under £100 this meant that a sentence of six monthß imprisonment, aa under Bection 262 of the Customs Law Con* solidation Act prisoners ao imprisoned must be discharged after having served six months . of their terms.
