WAIROA COUNTY RACING CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. To be held on the new Awatere Courße, on TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, Fbbruary 18th and 19th, 1896. PROGRAMME. (To be run under the Metropolitan Club's Rules). FIRST DAY — TUESDAY, February 18th. 1. Handicap Hurdle Race, of 35 soya, second horse to receive 5 soys out of the stake. Nomination, 1 soy; acceptance, 158. 2 miles. 2. Hack Hurdles Handicap, of 15 soya ; Entrance, 15s. 1 J miles. Entries to be made by 9.30 p.m. Monday, 17th February. 3. County Stakes Handicap, of 80 soys; second horse to receive 10 soys out of the stake. Nomination, 1$ soys ; acceptance, 2J soys. One mite and a-half. 4. Maiden Plate, of 20 boys. Weight for age. For all horses that have never won, at time of entry, an advertised race of any description exceeding 15 soys in value. Entrance, 1 aov. 1£ miles. 5. Awatebe Stakes Handicap, of 35 boys ; second horse to receive 6 soys from the stake. The winner of the County Stakes to carry 71b penalty. Nomination, 1 soy ; acceptance, 15s. 6 furlongs. 6. Hack Flat Race, of 20 boys; second horse to receive 5 soys out of the stake. Entrance, 1 soy. 1 mile. Entries for this race to be made by 9.30 p.m. Monday, 17th February. 7. District Platk Handicap, of 25 boys. Welter weights. Open to all horses owned one month prior to date of entry by bona Jide residents in the Wairoa County.
