Death of a Famous Painter.
London, Jan. 26.
Obituary : Sir Frederick Leiqhton, the eminent Knglish painter, aetat 65. Death was caused by syncope, following upon a chill. In his last agony he murmured "My love the Academy.'' [Sir Frederick Leigh ton has been a constant contributor to the Royal Academy since 1860. His genius as a painter and sculptor was no less remarkable than hia industry, and in 1878 he was chosen President of the Royal Academy. He was knighted on that" occasion, and created a baronet in 1886.]
