Taranaki Petroleum Works.
New Plymouth, to-day. Nine barrels of oil were pumped on Saturday in two hours, when .the pump broke down. The oil in the well was reported to be flowing kal night. Each barrel is estimated to be worth from 10s to 15s. The Petroleum Company start another bore on Monday. It is now fully established that the present bore is a complete success, aud there ia every prospect of a tjreat. futuio for the oil industry in Taraaaki. Property is increasing in ralue.
