THE WOOL SALES. London, Jan. 21. Tlie wool market continues firm at full prices. Jan. 22.— The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom ia 2,509,000 quarters, and for tho Continent 560,000 quaiters. The American visible wheat supply is estimated at 98,900,000 bushels. At the wool sales the beat greasy merinos are in demand by American buyers at Jd above the December rates, medium $d to Jd higher, and scoured Id higher. Crossbreds are very firm. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the following London market report : — Wool : Since close of last sales the following descriptions are Jd to Id per lb higher— Greasy merino super, scoured merino super, greasy merino medium and inferior, scoured merino medium und inferior, greasy merino lambs super. The following are id per lb higher — Washed merino super and medium and inferior, fine greasy crossbred, greasy merino lambs medium and interior, greasy crossbred lambs medium and inferior. Sliped merino is par to Jd per lb higher ; other descriptions unchanged. The total quantity catalogued to date is 62,000 bales, of which 3500 have been withdrawn.
