Knights of Labor.
Wellington, to-day. The Wellington Knights of Labor have passed a series of resolutions on political subjects. Amongst other things they urge the Government to extend the municipal franchise, to give easy opportunities for settling on land, to work mining leases, where conditions are not complied with, by co-oper-ative labor, to increase the poll tax on Chinese to £100, to abolish the duties on the necessaries of life, recouping the amount . by abolishing the exemption under the Land Tax, to establish a State Bank, to support the Referendum Bill and State Fire Insurance, to appoint counsel for defence as well as for the prosecution, to give equal rights to both sexes in marriage' and divorce, and also calling on members to support an elective executive, party government being a I failure,
