A very good musical programme was given, and appeared to be highly appreciated by the audience, there being an unusual number of encores which were very kindly responded to by the performers. Searle, who kindly provided a very pleasant evening's entertainment at very short notice, also to Mrs H. Williams, Mr Spackman, and Mr Rangiuia for their services as accompanists.
