The Attack on a Quartermaster.
Wellington, to-day.— Four of the Kaikoura's firemen, George Todd, Jeremiah Crawley, Robert Mountain, and Jeremiah Kelly were committed for trial on the charge of assaulting Harris, quartermaster of the vessel. This is the outcome of the row that occurred on the Kaikoura on Boxing night, in whiah Harris received a severe stab in the arm beside* ether injuries.
