SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.
The s.s. Te Anau passed Tokomaru at 1 o'clock this afternoon, and arrives here at about 5 this evening. She proceeds on to Southern ports and Melbourne, the last launch leaving the wharf at 7 o'clock. The B.s. Dingadee leaves Auckland at 4 o'clock this afternoon, and reaches here on Friday afternoon. She steams to Napier at 5 p.m. The s.B. Australia leaves Wellington this afternoon, and arrives here on Saturday morning She sails for Coast ports and Auckland at 6 a m. The b.b Monowai will be the next big Steamer from Southern ports, reaching here on Monday morning next. She leaves for Auckland and Sydney soon after arrival. The s.s. Poherua leaves Oamaru to-day and Timaru to-morrow for Gißborne direct. The s.s. Moa, which has been en route to Auckland since Friday l&at, made another start at 10 o'clock last night. With a sonthar at her back, she should succeed in Teaching Auckland, though probably some of the Coast ports will have to be skipped. The topsail schooner Annie Hill again took, shelter ia the bay yesterday afternoon from the heavy sea and contrary winds Tmgtng outside. She proceeded on her journey north this morning. The second wool ship of the season, the Canterbury, which was expected to arrive early next month, will probably have to be replaced by some ether vessel, on account of her late departure from Glasgow. By Lloyd's Shipping Gazette we notice the Canterbury was loading on the 22nd Sept. for Lyttelton and Wellington, and allowing her ordinary time for the run out and for working the ports to which her cargo is consigned, she could not arrive at Gisborne before January or February, a date when most Gisborne wool ships are usually a long way on the homeward passage.
