THE Public Trust Office off Hew Zealand is a Government institution to afford, at low rates ef commission, a secure and convenient recourse for those who, desirous of forming trusts m the colony, cannot satisfactorily appoint private trustees or executors, ana for persons unable or unwilling to undertake ox continue the administration of the trusts accepted by or imposed upon them. The Public Trust Offlce, constituted by " The Public Trust Office Aot, 1873," has been since much enlarged m its functions by amending Acts, to meet growing requirements. The Amendment Act of 1891 facilitates administration, authorises prompt distribution, provides absolute security against loss to estates from Investments at the discretion of the Public Trustee, and insures the regular payment of the interest. The Security and Fidelity of the Fob* Ho Trustee's administration must be considered of the utmost importance to every person contemplating the appointment of a trustee. The colony guarantee* the fidelity of the administration, and Guarantees also the Integrity of the Capital Funds invested at the option of the Public Trustee. The Colony Guarantees also, on the capital funds arising for investment out of the properties placed m tbe Public Tnut Office, a common rate of interest, to be paid quarterly, Free of all charges of the Public Trust Offlce. The value of this guarantee is m the Guarantee of the Colony againsUoss from investments m bad or insufficient securities, and against less from delay m investment, and for the regular and punctual payment of the intereßtT/res of all charge* of ths Public Trust Office. In the appointment of Trustees there must always be serious concern as to the security of the Capital funds ; and the larger the capital funds the greater must be the concern for security, and the less for a high rate of interest. The Public Trustee cannot die, cannot leave the colony, cannot become disqualified, or involved m private difficulties; and cannot be distrusted. In private trusteeships, death and absence Sender* necessary numerous and expensive ieeds not required by Public Trustee's administration, which has, besides, the office solicitor's advice without expense to the estates. By all who know or have experienced the contingencies of private trusteeships these advantages must be appreciated. For further information apply to the Agenta of or to The Public Trustee-- Wellington.
