STOCK SALES.

Common, Shelton & Co. Ltd., report having sold during the fortnight 11,000 head of sheep, 392 head of cattle, and 28 horses. At the Waerenga-a-hika yards on Wednesday last, the quantity of sheep advertised were not brought forward, and of those penned a third only were sold. There were again a large number of rams entered, and with few exceptions all were sold at satifactory prices. Forty 2-tooth Lincolns were sold at £2 25,. 15 4- tooth Liucolns £2 10s, 21 2-tooth Lincolns £2 2s, 50 2-tooth Lincolns £1 10s to £2, 30 aged Romney Marsh 10s 6d to 41 10a each, and many other small lots. There were over 400 head of cattle yarded, and of those only some 40 remained unsold. Prices were good and competition was kpen throughout the Bale, especially for well-bred young cattle.
