The s.s. Oreti (Captain Dawson) arrived here from South at 9.30 on Saturday night, having left Napier at 11.30 the same morning. After discharging, she proceeded on to Coast ports :\nd Auckland at midnight. Passengers— inward : Messrs Jackson (2), Lorrigan, Arringston, Hore, Georgo, and Constable Brooking. Outward : Mr Awhenata. The U.S.S. Co.'s s.s. Tekapo arrived here from Auckland and Sydney at midnight on Saturday, and proceeded South at 8 a.m. on Sunday. Passengers — inward : Misses Nasmith, Cross, Gumming, Davis, Fisher, Reid, and Simms ; Mesdames Nasmith, Wall, Heir, Rutherford, D'Arey, and O'Leary ; Messrs Reardon, Foster, Aislabic, Simms, Maxwell, Hair, Boland, Smythe, Irvine, Cantrell, Terrell, Edwards, Potter, Lincoln, O'Leary, Hire, Warakihi, Everett, and several Natives. Outward : Misses S«lma, Patin, Newmans (2), and Waters ; Mrs J. Walls and three children ; Messrs Heaps, Jopp, Glassford, McKenzie, Woodhead, Dewing, Wa&ka, Butcher, Powell, Lusty, Carroll, Walls, Raniera Turoa, Tiffen, Hoani Rura, Apiata te Hame, and Hirini te Kani. The U.S.S. Co.'s s.s. Tarawera, from Southern ports and Melbourne, arrived here early yesterday morning and proceeded on to Auckland at 11 a.m. Passengers — inward : Misses Johnston, Devere, Irvine, and Keys ; Mrs Walker ; Messrs McCutchey, Faulkner, Webb, Sievwright, Grant, Cheeseman, Fitzgerald, Macfarlane, Master Walker, and 10 steerage. Outward : Misses Lawrence, Davis, McGrath, Irvine, and Mison ; Meadames Staff, Davis and three children, Warburton, Stagpole and three children, Cooper and child ; Messrs Hattaway, Burke, Lane, Town, Fitzpatrick, Simms, Warburton, Kissling, Todd, Clark, Parneli, Wilson, and Harding and child. The s.s. Celtic King goes from Auckland to Southern ports, and returns to Gisborne towards the end of the month for frozen meat. The U S.S. Co.'s s.s. Oreti (Captain Dawson) leaves Auckland at 5 to-morrow evening and arrives here via Coast ports on Thursday evening, proceeding en to Napier and Wellington at 7 p.m. The U.S.S. Co.'s s.s. Australia (Captain Gibbs) leaves Wellington at 3 to-morrow afternoon, and is due here via Napier at daylight on Friday morning. She proceeds on to Coast ports and Auckland at 8 a.m. The U.S.S. Co.'s s.s. Tarawera leaves Auckland at noon on Thursday and is expected to arrive here at 1 p.m. on Friday. She proceeds on to Southern ports and Melbourne at 4 p.m. Tlie U.S.S. Te Anau (Capt. Cameron) is the next boat to arrive from Melbourne via South, being due here on Sunday morning. She sails for Auckland and Sydney at 8 a.m. The schooner Gisborne (Captain Page), from Napier, arrived yesterday afternoon with timber and posts. The ketch Venus (Captain Wiig) arrived yesterday morning with a freight of timber from Napier. The brigantine Aratapu was towed into the river yesterday morning and berthed at Read's Quay, where she is now discharging the remainder of her cargo of coal. The following vessels are now in port : — Barquentine Coquette, brigantine Aratapu, schooners Gisborne, Awaroa, Norval, and Waiwera, ketches Venus and Agnes Martin. The work of loading and discharging is being pushed on rapidly on the several vessels on account of the want of berthage accommodation.
