Feu. 11. — On the motion that the Customs Bill do pacis, several freetraders, including Sir Henry Parkes, who made a lengthy speech, eutered a final protest against the measure. Government are establishing a labor bureau. It is understood that the stoppage of work at the Junction Mine, Broken Hill, is enly temporary pending certain financial arrangements to be made. MELBOURNE, Feb. 10. Contrary to expectation, Mr Muuro resigned the Premiership to-day, and Mr Shiels has been sent for.
