She will probably be followed by the barque Riul .Tosephy, also with a cargo of tlax. PORT CHALMERS To-day. The R.M.S. lonic, from Plymouth via the Cape and Hobart, brings 90 passengers and 0000 tons of cargo. DUNEDIN. To-day. In the Bankruptcy Court John Ford, grocer, had his certificate suspended for two years. () AMARU, To-day. At the nominations of candidates for the Oiunaiu seat in the House of Representatives, Messrs Hislop and D. Dunn were nominated. The show of hands was in favor of Mr Hislop, and the poll takes place on Monday next. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. It is stated that Merrie England has been sold, and remains in N. . Z. to fulfil engagements. NEW PLYMOUTH, To-day. The steamer Gairloch came off the bank in the AVaitara River last evening, and is uninjured. Sho leaves for Wellington this evening. WAIPAWA, To-pay. The Ormondville Hotel was burned down last night. There was fortunately no wind, and the stores adjoining escaped. The hotel had just changed hands. The insurances we not known here.
