ROWING NOTES.
. * — — TnE Committee of the Povery Bay Rowing Club met last night at the Albion Club Hotel for the adoption of rules and byelaws, and the selection of trial fours. The rules ami bye-laws were ordered to be printed. For trial fours three crews were selected as follows : — (1.) J. Walters (stroke), W. Walters, W. Nisbit, and 11. Warren. (2.) \V. Marshall (stroke), A. Sawyer, fj. Richardson, and J. Adeane. (3.) J. Nisbit (stroke), T. Leslie, O. Sandlant, and J. Read. The representative crew will not be decided until after the decision of the fours and married v. single. It was decided to form another crew from new members, to be elected at next meeting. The entrance fee was fixed at 2s 6d and the annual subscription at LI. The crews go into training at once and bring off their events at an early date. The two new four-oared boats were named " Minerva " and " South Pacific." The Treasurer was instructed to write to Melbourne vr new boats.
