Mr O'Brien, in his cross-examination, justified the hunting of the chairman of the Kingstown Commission from public life for shaking hands with the Prince of Wales. He considered it was the duty of the Irish to fight every chance of urging their claims afforded by Imperial disaster. He expressed regret for the attacks lie had formerly made on Sir (I. Trevelyan.
