SENTENCE OF DEATH.

At the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon the jury, who retired at 1.30, intimated al 4.30 that they were agreed upon their verdict. At 20 minutes to 5 His Honor took his seat. The foreman (Mr W. Morgan) said they were all agreed on their verdict "Guilty." Prisoner Haira to I'ere was asked if he had anything to say why sentence of death should not lie passed upon him. Haira replied : I have nothing to say. His Honor said : Haira to I'cre, you have been found guilty of a most foul murder after a long and patient trial. The evidence has satisfied the jury, and it has satisfied me, that you are guilty. It has been largely brought by your own countrymen. I wish to say no word for the misery of your situation. You can make no reparation for your horrible deed, but there is one sign of grace and repentance you can give, and I recommend you to give it, You can confess your crime and the justice of your sentence. It is that you be taken hence to the place whence yon came, and then in due course of the law to the place of execution, and that you be there hanged by the neck until you are dead.
