Auckland, to-day. The following is Messrs Hunter and Nolan's •weekly report : — Horses : There lias been an increased number brought forward and found purchasers at the previous week's values. Quite an average number wero entered at the Durham Yards on Friday. Competition was good throughout, and' most of the lots wore cleared, and there remained an unsatisfied demand for geldings, as also for hacks and light harness horses. We quote hacks from £4 l.>s to £10 10s, light harness £G 10s to £11 10s. Wool, hides and skins : Average quantities were pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, and competition for all the lots was brisk and heavy. Ox hides advanced in value We quote as follows -—Ox hides 3id to od, cow hides 2d to 2-[d, calfskins Sid to 4j'd, sheepskins Is 8d to 3s Gd, lambs skins Is 4d to 2s 2d, pelts Is to Is 7d. Wool 6£d to 6?d. Cattle : The number brought forward has not been large, and the demand has been steady with little or no alteration in value. The Newmarket Yards were well filled on Tuesday. Bidding was steady throughout the sale, but prices remained unaltered., Some averages were £4 8s 9d, £4 10s, cows £3 Gs Sd, £3 9s Gd, £3 10s, f 3 17s 6d. Sheep : There was a good muster at Newmarket on Tuesday, but there was an evidont indisposition on the part of the purchasers to give the previous week's prices, which consequently receded from Gd to Is per head, lambs, but few were yarded, and sold at from (is Gd to 10s. Pigs : There was a large attendance of would-be buyers, but an absence of swine, jonseqiiQiitly there remains an unsatisfied Jiiquhy.
