MOTIONS RE J. C. KINROSS. Napieu, to-day. The Chief Justice sitting in bankruptcy had several applications before him in the estate of Mr J. (!-. Kinross. The first was for maintenance out of the estate, which was refused, His Honor remarking that the furniture given by the creditors was worth at least £4-">0, which was equal to more than £4 a week for two years. Two other applications were for refunding moneys paid prior to the bankruptcy on the grqund of illegal preference, the chief being £1000 paid to Robjohns and Co. In both cases an order i was made that evidence should be taken before the Registrar and arguments heard at Wellington.
