THE EGYPTIAN TROUBLE.
FRENCH AND RUSSIAN THREATS. THE PORTE IN DIFFICULTIES. London, Juno 27. The difficulty in regard to the AngloEgyptian Convention is becoming very grave. The Morning Post of to-day aayB in respect of the difficulty that the French Government haa threatened the Porte that diplomatic relations between Turkey and France will be ruptured if the Convention is ratified. France also threatens in that event to renew her claim to the guardianship of the Holy Placos in Syria, a question that haa caused vast trouble formerly. The Morning Post also states that Russia is demanding from Turkey, as compensation for agreeing to the convention, the direction of affairs in the Erzeroum district in Asiatic Turkey. Thn P at further stat-a that the Turk<*h Government Las asked tho English Cabinet whether it will fulfill the Cyprus Convention if Turkey ritifies the vow agreement io regard to Egypt.
