Messrs Hunter and Nolan report

Horses : There was more vitality in the market at the Durham yards last Friday than has been the case for some weeks, and a good many low priced animals changed owners at a slight advance on the previous week's values. About the usual nuthber were submitted by auction last Friday when the competition throughout the sale, and most of ihe lots were cleared at a shade better value than has been obtained for the last two weeks, and young active * horses of moderate weights for either draught or saddle would have found purchasers at higher prices than have been ruling lately. Wool, hides, and skins were brought forward in moderate quantities, and a steady demand has existed at the previous week's values.

Fat cattle : The number of fat beasts brought forward on Tuesday at the Newmarket yards was an average one, and there was a slight advance in the value of woll fattened oxen, in which but few indifferently fattened participated, there being a spirited demand throughout the sale, good beef ranging from 173 Gd to 22s per lOOlbs. Fat sheep : A limited number were yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday, consequently prices were above the market rates. Pigs : A limited number wer« again yarded, and there remains an unsatisfied demand for good porkers. Lonpon, June 22.
