SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.

The Union Co. 'a s.s. Mararoa (Capt. Jas. Edie) arrived early yesterday morning from Melbourne via South. She left Melbourne at 6 p.m. on the 11th mat., arrived at Hobart at 3 a.m. on the 13th, sailed again the same day at noon, called at Milford, BreakBea. and Dusky Sounds on the 16th, and reached the Bluff at 3.30 a.m. on the 17th ; called at Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Napier, leaving the latter port at 8 p.m. on Saturday and arriving as above. She lefb again at 5.30 a.m. for Auckland and Sydney. Passengers : Inwards — Misses Mason, Cuff, Filley, and Husband ; Mesdames Hill, Bach, and Reynolds and three children ; Messrs Hill, Curtis, Shilling, Campbell, Greenfield, Muir (2), Smith, Hardy, Burna, Gennill, Chambers, Clarke, Reynolds, Brassey, Ward, McMichael, Bold, Marr, Munks, and Storer ; and Masters Filley, Palmer, and Chambers. Outwards — Mesdames Adams, Ardern, and Mclutyre ; Miss Jeune ; Messrs Adams, Mclntyre, Jeune, Barnard, aud Franks ; and a Chinaman. The ketch Comet (Capt. Burns) arrived on Saturday from Oamaru with a cargo of flour and oats. She was brought into the river with the afternoon's tide. The ketch ZcoHa arrived last evening from the Thames with timber aud coal. The schooner Columbia (Capt. Conway) arrived iv the bay last night, windbound, from Napier to Auckland. Cai'ktown, Jan. 22. The Shaw, Savil!, and Albion Co.'s s.s. Tainui arrived yesterday morning from Plymouth (Jan. Ist). She left yesterday evening for New Zealand via Hobarfc. All well, Sydney, to-day. The Union Co. '3 s.s. To Anau arrived from Auckland yesterday morning. Blujff, to-day. The s.s. Waihora arriveu at 7.30 a.m. tofromidelbourne via Hobart with an English mail. Auckland, to-day. The s.B. Australia arrived at 7.30 a.m. yesterday from Gisborne. The s.s. Mararoa arrived from Gisborne at b" 20 a.m., after a fine trip of 22 hours.
