THE BUSTLE GOING.
A Paris correspondent puts it very delicately thus : — The great question of the moment is the retention or dismissal of the enormous camel-humps it has pleased the feminine world to append to their backs for a year past. It ia hardly probable that these excresenceß will be at once got rid of ; hut they will certainly be much diminished in volume, a small tournurc being employed to pave tl c way for their total" elimination. The passion for the imitation of old picture garments is becoming stronger than ever. The furore excited by the coming revival of the fashionable dances of several generations ago is stimulating the study of the dresses of the fine dames who formerly danced them, and it will be the aim of every fashionable lidy during the coming winter to see her ball room represent as closely as possible a fashionable gathering of three, four, or five centuries ago. To maid th» scene complete, however, the {jar.neni.fi and heads of tha inferior sex ought to be similarly transaiogrilied and adorned ; and it is by no means certain that this part of the old-world programme will be carried out.
