ENGLISHMEN V. AUSTRALIA. Meluournk, to-day. Tbo match Shaw-Lillywhite'a team v. an Australian eleven was continued yesterday. Tho weather was Hue, but the attendance moderate. The Australians, who had lust eight wickets for 285 runs, continued their innings, the last wicket falling for _!)4 runs, tho scores being Evans (bowled) G, Spofforth (run out) 2, and Garrett (not out) 24. The Englishmen then went to the wickets, and at the close of the day eight wickets were down. The following are the scores : — Barlow, c and b i<> Barnes, c i) M.
