A COMPLATNT.
g lßj _ln the interests of the travelling public, the business people of this town, and the district generally, I would draw your attention to the inconvenient times •it which the launch almost invariably 1 ayes the wharf for the Friday Southern steamers. Take last night as an instance. The last boat was for 5 o'clock, whereas if it had been, say, B.o*o— at which time the launch would have got out and back without ditticulty— there would have been more inducement for through passengers coming ashore and seeing our town and country, and our business people would have had more time to attend to their correspondence. Astho Union Company have their own launch, boat, and crew, it mi»ht bo to their interest, and certainly would bo to the interest of this district, if tho last boat left Giaborne as late as possible, as it makes no difference to the tinio of passer gera landing in Napier.— lam, Ac, Pro Boxo Publico.
