Sportsmen and owners of brood mares will secure their own interests by studying the following pedigree, and taking advantage of the services of this magnificently-bred horse — a direct descendant of the grandest animals the world ever produced, Stockwell, Touchstone, Sir Hercules, and Traducer. The chestnut Thoroughbred Stallion Bdward Javks will stand the con. ing season at Tb Hapaba. Edward James is by Papapa, dam Hatred ; Papapa by Ravensworth (imp), by Stockwell, sire of Blair Athol. Sir Hercules, sire of Waimea, claims in Australia such good performers as Bylong, Zoe, Archer, Dan O'Connell, Yattendon, The Barb, and many others, whilst breeders throughout the Australasian Colonies now trace back with pride to the wonderful qualities he has invariably transmitted, havensworth was the sire of Papapa, Mamama, Opawa, Tattler, Guy Fawkes, Clarence, and many other noted winnsrs. Last, but not least, the blood of the celebrated Traducer runs iii the veins of Edward James. Traducer as a sire lias never been equalled in the colonies— uot even by the great Musket. He claims Lurline, Calumny, TcirpletoD, Sir Modred, Welcome Jack, b'ishliook, Trump Card, Foul Play, Te Whitauiaramara, and iunurabeiable others. Traducer was by The Libel, out of Pasquinade, Bister to the renowned Touchstone.
