MATAWHERO.
At a meeting of householders at the Matawhero School about 60 were preseafc Mr John Parker was voted to the chair. The Chairman, Mr Murchie, read the annual report and balance-sheet, which were unanimously adopted. A hearty vote of th.inks to the Chairman and Committee was passed. Eleven gentlemen were duly proposed for the new Committee — viz. : Messrs King, Pardoe, F. Parker, Richardson, C. Young, Weston, Murchie, Von Pein, John Parker, Muldoon, and Beresford. The first seven were elected. The new Committee met afterwards, and Mr Murchie was reelected Chairman for the ensuing year. The receipts for the year were £194 10s 2d, and there is now a balance in hand of 14s 3d.
