Time, lmin 19sec. Divs., £1 17s 6d and £1 19s. Midsummer Handicap Sweeptsake, 10 soys. with 300 added — 2 miles. Wapiti 1 Ike 2 Tairoa, Tasman, and Leodogrin also ran. A grand race. Won by half a length. Time, 3min 38sec. Divs., £3 7s 6d and £3 10s. Selling Race, Sweep of £5 with 50 added — six furlongs. Silver Queen ... 1 Mata 2 Derwenter ... 3 Won by a nose. The second horse was a head in front of the third. Time, lmin 20sec. Divs ,£4Us 6d and £5 63. . Craven Stakes Handicap Sweep of 5 soys. each with 150 added — l^miles. Taiaroa 1 Johnny Faulknor 2 Nelson... • 3 Won by three quarters of a length. Time, 2min 12|sec. Div., £0 ss. The Scurry Stakes were won by Nelly, and the Consolation was a walk over for Grand Duke. £5,515 was put through the machines.
