RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims ' disputes, and object : ons arising shall be decided j by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 5 soys., which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not so«--tained. All nominations, entries, acceptances, etc., accompanied by the necessary amount, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at the Masonic Hotel, Glsoorne, not later than 8 p.m. on the several specified dates. Nominations, etc., bearing post mark of specified dates will be received. General entry night, Saturday, sth January, 1884. The rules and weights of the Poverty Bay Turf Club, as in force at the date of the ! meeting, will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amouut of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. The winner of any race of the value of 100 soys. and over after the declaration of weights to carry olbs. extra ; and the winner of any race of 200 soys. and over to carry 71bs. extra in the Tradesmen's and Turanga Stakes Handicaps. All entries should, if practicable, bo made on the Club's printed forms of eotry, which may be obtained from the Secretary of the Poverty Bay Turf Club, and Secretaries of leading Clubs in the Colony, and must be sent to the Secretary at the Masonic Hotel, Gisborne.
