SOUTH PACIFIC PETROLEUM COMPANY.
We are indebted to the manager, Mr. D, Isles, for the following official report : — " I beg to report that on Monday morning last, the depth reached was 304 ft. 6in. The Gin. pipes were then feeing driven home in a satisfactory manner, and drilling also going on favourably. The strata we hare now got into appears to be slightly different to that mentioned in last report, and is decidedly harder than we had some short time ago. Gas was coining up freely, but little or no oil seen."
