He was sold at the above mentioned sale for 360 guineas. Possessing the celebrated Traducer blood of his sire, and from his dam the blood of the still more celebrated Sir Hercules, he- prest- nts a combination of the most fashionable and successful strains in the Southern Hemisphere. The Australasian in speaking of the Sir Hercules blood remarked: "No family has gained such a reputation as that which descends from the Colonialbred Sir Hercules. In contests of avery description the representatives of this line had achieved more than their share of popular triumph."
