Legislative Council.
The Council met yesterday at 2.30. The Brands and Branding Bill was read a third time, and passed. The Deceased Husbands' Brother Marriage Bill was read a first time, Colonel Brett terming the measure obscene. ; The Deaths by Accident Compensation Bill, Juries Bill, and Cruelty to Animals Bill, passed through Committee, and were read a third time. The Council rose at 5.15. o'clock.
