Yakoub Khan, the Ameer of Afghanistan, is to receive an annual subsidy ficm the British of six lacs of rupees. May 28. The latest news from the Cape reports that the British advance was seriously hindered by the difficulty of procuring forage, the Zulus having fired the grass.
