WAVERLEY FARMERS’ UNION
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Waverley branch of the Fanners’ Union, at which Mr. A. L. Eimslic presided, was well attended.
After the adoption of tho annual report and balance sheet the election of officers resulted:'—
President: Mr. .1. Cook; vice-presi-dents, Messrs A. L. Elmslip and T. ,T. Davis; conference delegate, Mr. A. L. Elmslie; committee,' -Messrs N. R. Johnston, R. Johnston, J. Metcalfe, D. Stewart, G. McGregor, A. J. Larsen, E. A. Aiken, W. G. Belton, 11. Boyer, Alex Elmslie, J. AI. Hartwell, R. W. H. Oliver, C. J. Brown. Consideration was given to the remits for the interprovineial conference to be held at Palmerston North, and several remits were passed dealing with the problems facing tho primary producer.
Retiring from the office of president, Mr. Elmslie said it was a pity all members were not aware of the fine work being done by Dominion headquarter:'!. Farmers throughout New Zealand were reaping tho benefit-of men who were giving all their time to the, problems of the producer.
