DEFINITIONS
A few definitions from “John o’ Loudon’s Weekly’’:—
Pessimist: A man who thinks he will get run over by a full ambulance. And a shavci’ who cuts his sticking plaster first. Pedestrian: A slow-moving target for motorists. And that party to an accident which isn’t there to give evidence.
Pugilist: One who makes purses out of cauliflower earn.
And then there’s Heinrich Heine’s definition of silence ; A conversation with an Englishman.
