MONTHLY MEETING The visual monthly meeting of the Carlyle Women’s Institute was held at the residence of Airs. M. Fairwoathev last week. Airs. Pcacockc presiding over' a good attendance of members. Apologies for non-attendance were received from Airs. Aioore and Allss Coot. The delegates reported on t':c recent federation meeting. Aji interesting demonstration on crochet coat hangers was given by .Mrs. Barkley and was much appreciated by members. A competition for a Christmas novelty resulted; Airs. Butlers 1, Airs. Barkley 2, Airs. Pcacockc. 2. The mystery parcel competition was won by Airs. R. Alercer. Dmi'ng the afternoon a presentation was made to Airs. Butters for knitting the bed jacket for tie recent competition. •The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
