WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Opaku Women’s Institute was held last week, Mrs. Grcenhill presiding. Delegates reported on the recent council meeting. Arrangements iwcre made for the flower show, which is to be Held on the £'2nd inst. Mrs. Clayton gave an interesting demonstration on first aid and bandaging. The competitions resulted as follows: Best bloom, Mrs. Marchant and Miss McDonald 1, Mcsdames A. Hurley, Grcenhill and Miss Hurley equal, third. Novelty Xmas gift: Miss Hurley. Four scones: Miss Hurley, A competition was won by Mrs. Grocnhill. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. Chatterton and Miss Walsh.
