NOTES
Mrs. I. D. Blackie’s friends will regret to hear that she is in t.'.e hospital at Wanganui. Mrs. P. Harting and Miss S. Wilson have returned from a holiday spent in the Eotorua district. Mrs. Walton (Putaruru) and her small daughter, are Mrs, P. Harting’s guests. Mrs. Gubhins and her baby daughter have returned home. Mrs. Gorrell, mho has been spending several -weeks with Mrs. Harting, las loft for the north, Mr. J. H. Byers, of the local post office staff, has received notice of his transfer to Pio Pio. His successor is Mr. D. W. Barnhill of Pa tea. There was a good attendance at the flag “500” evening held recently in the hall supper room, and arranged by the school committee in aid of the school fund. The winners were Mesdames Handley and Lee and Messrs K. Leahy and Lee.
The competition for a Christmas cake, donated by Airs. Blackic, was won by Mrs. Dallison, Waverlcy.
