PATEA WATERSIDERS
AXE UAL PICNIC. 'i'h ■ local, watersiders hold theii annual picnic in the Domain on Wednesday in perfect weather, adults and children alike having a most enjoyable day. The Domain again proved its value to the town as an ideal place of recreation, the largo sh.d being most useful for preparing the meals for the children, whilst the oval, with its running (rack, was all that 'was n'.cdeil for the sports. The children, in addition to races and games, were treated to a feast of good things, the ice cream and fruit being greatly appreciated. There was an excellent muster of watersiders, most of whom wen' returned men, who worked untiringly' throughout the day on the children's behalf.
