Mrs. Wyeth, Auckland, is visiting Mrs. A. A; Carey, Patea % Miss Ava Findlay, Palmerston North, is the guest of Mrs. R. E. Mooro, Fatca. Mrs. Erhkc, who has been, visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Carey, Patca, .returns to .Auckland to-day. Mr, N. ‘Hunger left on Wednesday evening on a visit to his brother, Mr. W. Hunger, Tc Aroha. 'The funeral of the late Mr. Charles Bradshaw, the victim of the Wellington motor fatality, took place at the Kopuatama Cemetery, Stratford, on Tuesday, a large number attending to pay their last tribute of respect to the deceased. The pall-bearers were Messrs. T. Floyd, E. Lash, N. R. Goad, R. Vinten, and D. Thompson, members of the Loyal Patea Lodge of Oddfellows, Manchester Unity, and Mr. L. Boyle, a fellow member of the staff of, O 'Reilly; s ■branch of Taranaki Chain! Stores, Ltd. There ’was an exceptionally large number of floral emblems, testifying to the high -esteem in which the deceased was held. The service at the church and graveside was conducted by the Rev. K. J. McFarland, vicar of Holy Trinity, Stratford.

The death took place at Sydney on Tuesday of Mr. T. W. llaplcy, who ' was for many years postmaster at Htratford and afterwards a well-known figure in the insurance world in the Dominion and Australia. The death of Mr. Henry King occurred ou Wednesday morning at his home at the Meeting of the Waters, New Plymouth. Unlike his bettorknown brothers, tho late Mr. Newton King and Sir Truby King, Mr. King took no part in public life, but was respected among older residents in the New Plymouth district as a man of courage and courtesy. Until tho time of his death he worked actively ou his property and died suddenly in his sleep. He was found in tho morning by neighbours. Mrs. King predeceased him; she was formerly Miss Beatrice Allen. The deceased is .survived by his two sons, Messrs. Leslie King, Wellington, and' Frank ‘ King, New Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wiggins, of Whakatane, were visitors to Patea yesterday. Mr. Wiggins, who was for some years foreman at the Patea Farmers * Co-op. freezing works, since leaving, has been settled at Whakatane, where ho acquired considerable property, a portion of which he sold jjk’ccn'tly as a site for tho now paper mill, which is* shortly to be erected at a cost of £l-10,000. Mr. and Mrs. Wiggins intend undertaking a motor tour of tho South Island before returning to Whakatane.
