Mr. B. Jury, formerly of the staff of Masters, Ltd., Btratford, who has boon appointed to Patca, was the recipient of a fountain pen and pencil set from the, Btratford Hockey Club, of which he was a member. Mi ?s Muriel Hamertou leaves let-day on a holiday visit to Hauterville. Mr. Irwin Jones, manager of the Bank of Australasia, Patca, left on Monday for Dunedin, where the death of his mother took place that day. The Mayor, Mr. P. L’anisbottom, left by car yesterday for Napier, where he will attend the Municipal Conference. Superintendent A. Morrison, of the Hawera Fire Brigade, will fender his resignation at the next meeting of the Hawera Fire Board. He has been appointed deputy superintendent of the Christchurch brigade.
