LEVEL CROSSING FATALITY
ONE KILLED; FOUR INJURED. ACCIDENT NEAR NAPIER. One man was killed and four were .seriously injured in an accident between a goods train and a car at 7.30 on Monday night at the Waitangi railway crossing. live miles from Napier, on the main south highway. Tno d;ad man is John Reginald Garrett, a grocer and‘a married man. He suffered head injuries. 'The injured men arc: Robert Magill, draper, broken thigh, condition not critical; Lionel Stevens, cycle dealer, fractured legs, broken wrist, condition not critical; Harry Mercer, hairdresser, broken thigh, head injuries, condition critical; William John Lamason, Public Works Department overseer, head* injuries, condition critical. All are married men living at Napier,
