I)ATE OF- ENTRIES EXTENDED. j '-The committee of the WaVericy A. mid P. Association have extended the . closing date for entries until Monday, next,-March 9. The show this year, iwhich is being again held at the Waverley Racecourse, bids fair to eclipse all. records. In addition to the ordin-ary-classes, there arc special attractions in the shape of trotting races, pony ' racing, ladies ’ and dual jumping, and the open leaping, competition. The Railway‘Department has arranged for special fares to the ground. ‘The Ist and 2nd class return fares are as folL low: From Hawera 5s 4d, 3s 6d; Mo- ■ koia, 4s 4d, 2s lOd; Alanutahi, 3s 6d, 2a 3d; Kakaramea, 2s lid, Is lid; Patea, Is lid, Is 3d; Wanganui, Os lOd, 4s 8d; Aramoho, Os 4d, 4s 3d; Kai? Iwi, 4s, lOd, 3s 2d; Maxwell, 4s 2d, 2s 8d; Waitotara, 2s sd, Is 7d. Exhibitors arc asked to note that the secretary's ’signature is required for return free freight and certificates must bo procured from the forwarding station. It ■is interesting to note that £250-is boding awarded in prize money in addition to the championship cups.
