DEBATE WITH WHAKAMARA.
MANUTAHI
An interesting debate on the subject “That Mon Should Be Domesticated,’’ formed the latter part of a concert held in the Whakamara Hall on Tuesday last. The affirmative was taken by a Alanutahi team consisting of Alessrs. D. M. Jillctt, C. Barclay, D. S. Richardson, and R. O. Schwass. Alessrs. Christie, Williams, Davies, and Smith, all of Whakamara, supported the negative. The Whakamara residents arc to be congratulated on their initiative in promoting such a worthy iuter-district contest. The Alanutahi team, who won the debate, is to meet a combined Whakamara-Alokoiu team at ilokoia next week, when the subject will be “That Women Should Compete in the Commercial World.”
