VALEDICTORY
MR. 1. CONNORc The members of . the stuff of the local post office - foregathered on Friday afternoon to bid farewell to one of their! number, Mr. F. Connor, who is under notice of transfer to Morrinsville. - Mr. ia. E. Taylor, postmaster, in a brief speech,, voiced the regret of one r and all at Mr. Connor's departure from amongst them. During his stay in Patca he had, Mr. Taylor said, made a host of friends by his unfailing courtesy and his willingness .at all times to do what he could for anyone... Whilst regretting their loss,, they .congratulated him on his' .promotion and wished him every happiness and success in the future. On -behalf of the members of the staff -and himself, ho asked him- to accept a ease of cutlery with their best wishes for his future happiness and prosperity. \ ... , Mr. Connor suitably replied.
