FARMER DROWNED
DOG FOUND GUAEDING WAISTCOAT. William Scoon, aged 58, married, a well-known Woodend farmer, was found drowned in the Cam Kiver, lyaiapoi, on Thursday. He had been missiug since early on Wednesday. The discovery was made through Scoon’s dog being seen guarding his waistcoat on the river bank nearby.
