NOTES.
Croquet matches played during the week on the local lawns were as follows,; —Mrs. Palmer won from Mrs. Muir, Mrs. Hodgson won from Mrs. Mitcalfc, Mrs. Fames won from Mrs. Mitcalfc, Mrs. Pepper won from Mrs. Alexander.
Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Wallace, “Awatca,” arc spending the week-end -with friends in New' Plymouth.
Mrs. T. C. Nicholls, Inglewood, arrived by the express on Saturday, and will bo the guest of her mother, Mrs. Cleary, for some weeks.
Those who were present at the regimental dance, which was held in the Town Hall on Friday night, spent a very enjoyable time. With the good music, and plenty of floor space, the dancing went with a real good swing.
