TO-NIGHT AND SATURDAY—JEANETTE MacDONALD, VICTOR MeLAGLEN, IN “ ANNABELLE'S AFFAIRS. ’ ’ la “Annabelle’s Affairs,” Fox Films’ all talking" adaptation of “Good Gracious Annabelle, ’ ’ one of the most popular comedy successes of the stage l , now at the Town Hall, motion picture patrons arc accorded the opportunity of enjoying the Tirst joint appearance on the screen of Victor McLaglen and Jeanette MacDonald, two outstanding film fame as the co-star of Maurice Chevalier in “The Love Parade,” and has since played leading roles in “The Vagabond King,” “Monte Carlo, ’’ “Oh, For A Man,” ajjd enacts the role of the girl in “Annabelle’s Affairs,”’ being co-fcaturcd with McLaglen. The featured players are supported by a cast of notable comedians of the stage and screen, among the most important being Roland Young, Ruth Warrcnt, William Collier, sen., Sam Hardy", Joyce t Compton, and Sally Blane. The witty and sparkling dialogue was i written by Leon Gordon, who also made the adaptation and the picture was directed by Alfred L. Worker. Miss'MacDonald wears many elaborate and stunning costumes in this production. They were designed and made at the Fox West Coast studios by Dolly Tree, fashion creator, and are said to reflect the mode of some months hence.
