AGED WOMAN’S DEATH
COLLISION WITH MOTOR CYCLE
Sarah Shaw, aged 73, wife of Thomas Shaw, Greytown, farmer, was knocked down by a motor cycle ridden by Ralph John Staples, Masterton, or the main. Greytown Road shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday. Herbert White, M ellington, was on the pillion seat of the cycle. Mrs. Shaw sustained a broken leg and arm, and subsequently died at midnight from shock at her residence.
She was apparently confused by the light of the cycle, which was proceeding on tho correct side of the road, and walked right into if.
